A Message From Our Founder

There were days when all I had was faith and an idea I could not put down.

 

Today, from the heart of Sydney, that idea becomes something we can finally invite you into. The Kurtuma Company is a private, family-owned Australian company built on a belief that has stayed with me since childhood.

 

Dream Entertainment can make life feel bigger. A story can awaken your imagination. An evening with the people you love can become a memory you carry for generations.

It has taken nineteen months of work, uncertainty and persistence to reach this moment.

 

There were setbacks. Difficult conversations. Days when the distance between what I imagined and what I could build felt overwhelming without going into detail. We kept going. We earned trust, one person at a time.

To the few who believed when there was little to show among them Alan and Charlie thank you. You gave your time, your judgment and your faith. I will always remember who stood beside us at the beginning. On 30 October 2026, we open our first brand Kurtuma Experiences.

​

Our first experience brings an original murder mystery to Curzon Hall, one of Sydney’s most distinctive castle settings. Your evening or afternoon begins with a chauffeured journey. A character awaits every guest, and the story unfolds over a two course meal, with you playing a part in what happens next.

​

For guests aged 18 and over, it is an invitation to dress for the occasion, step into another life for a few hours and share something worth remembering. I believe more people should have the chance to experience that feeling. To be welcomed with care. To sit somewhere unimaginable. To enjoy an occasion that feels significant with the people who matter to them.

​

That belief comes from my own life. At three, I was drawing, disappearing into animated worlds and singing along to the music I liked. At fourteen, I was asking what it would take to make a dream come true.

​

I became a competitive fighter. Worked beside family in carpentry. Observed real estate and iconic car settings. Sourced property. Along the way, I watched people build extraordinary lives, and others lose what they had worked so hard to create and left in garbage bags.

​

Then adversity reached my own door. It changed me. It made me question what I was chasing, what success would mean, and what would still matter if everything else disappeared.

In 2024, I met a man named John.

 

Making introductions had become part of my working life, just to find the answers. But sitting in front of him, I was nervous enough to feel every second. Here was someone who had lived abundantly, with wisdom I wanted to understand.

When I had earned his time, I asked the question I had carried for years. What does it take to live the life you dream of? Something about him reminded me of my grandfather if he only followed his dreams.

 

I listened with the strange feeling that I was looking towards the man I hoped to become. The lessons from that conversation stayed with me. So did the responsibility to act on them.

​

Kurtuma is where I have chosen to begin.

Our ambition reaches further stories, creative works and worlds that children, families and generations to come can grow to love.
